Finally! Day two in Hong Kong! I am starting to miss my home country. Hehe, I miss the friendly environment in PH. On our day one, we rested to refill our lost energy and be able to wake up early in the morning.
We woke up early in the morning since our call time is 7:00 in the morning. The hotel that we were staying in offers a breakfast, they gave us a coupon that can be used upon eating our breakfast. I didn't expect that they offer a variety of food because I remember when we check in a hotel in the Philippines they offer a left over food. But to our luck! Ours in Hong Kong didn't! We fill our tummies in anticipation that we won't be able to eat our lunch on time.
Our tourist guide arrive at the lobby on time sharp at 7:00 am, I guess Filipino time is not applicable here! haha! We rode in a bus, there we knew that we will fetch other fellow tourists that will join us in our trip. Luckily, we did expect that our fellow tourist are Filipinos! Thank God! We wish this on our first day in Hong Kong because we find some of the Chinese people are unapproachable. After fetching all of our fellow tourist, the tour started. Our tourist guided is quite friendly and delivers very informative information about our destination.
Our tourist bus brought us somewhere in Hong Kong that has a chain of jewelry stores. We entered to that building that sells jewelries. I don't know but I don't enjoy this trip that much since I am not pond of buying jewelries at all specially that I am in a tight budget haha! I didn't get to take a picture of the building. Sorry! But my mom was able to bought a silver bracelet which is the cheapest one in that store! Imagine how expensive that jewelries.
Next stop! Souvenir shop, our tourist guide brought us to their contact sellers of souvenirs. We were brought in a mini-mall that I can't even remember what the name is. The tourist guide gave us a complimentary free taste, maybe for us to buy! marketing strategies huh! We bought a few because we only have a 7 kilogram baggage allowance.
After going to the souvenir shop, they brought us to the garden of stars (Avenue of Stars before) since it is still under construction. It gives a view of the Hong Kong which is quite impressive, you may compare it to our own Manila Bay but nothing compares to ours shempre! hehe. You may take photo ops to your favorite artists there. Given a limited time, we only chose where is the best background to take picture.
For the next stop, Aberdeen Fisherman Village. We rode a small boat that is operated by a grandma, I did remember my lola and it hurts seeing this grandma working for a living. She tour us around the Jumbo Restaurant, it is a floating restaurant in Hong Kong and I don't know if it's true that the prices of the food is expensive that even Chinese people refuse to dine in there. I did enjoy this part of the tour and wish that our Pasig river is like these too!
For our last stop is the Disneyland! Everyone is so excited! Haha! I'm excited too but I don't put up much expectations at all. We arrived there with our hungry tummies! We want to eat something that fills our hunger up but we fail to find an affordable one. :( We ended up eating a hotdog on bread that is so expensive but at least our tummies are a bit filled up.
After eating, we decided to start our tour inside disneyland. I don't really much enjoy the rides at all because of long queue that you have to patiently wait and also the rides are quite enjoyable for kids only. I do recommend visiting Disneyland if you have kids. We rode a few rides and just waited for the grand parade. It is a very tiring day since it requires a lot of walking activities.
After the grand parade, our tourist bus fetch us and brought us to our designated hotels. Upon arrival, my mom and I decided to take a rest and refill our energies for the next day.
This is all for day two. Thank you for reading! If you have comments and suggestions feel free to comment below. I would love to receive one from you. Much love!
