Before the trip useful apps!
Cebu Pacific/AirAsia or your chosen airline Apps - This is optional yet I think is also important for an early check-in to lessen the hassle in your trip.
Taipei Weather Apps - Though I did not download any weather apps since my memory is reserved for photo ops. If you aren't able to download any apps you can atleast visit google and look for a one week weather that is exact to your travel date. It is useful in order to adjust the trip incase of sudden weather change and of course to know what to clothes to bring for ootd purposes!
Klook/Kkday - Again this apps are so reliable when it comes to day trips abroad, I first used this on our Hong Kong trip and again in Taiwan. This apps may help you find day trips that are at reasonable prices especially if you are on a DIY trips and can flexibly arrange your schedule. I mostly prefer klook since it has two payment options either through Paypal or Credit Card though Kkday also offers daytrips but I hope they also offer Paypal payment since credit card payment now a days are a bit unsafe.

Go Taipei Metro App - Taipei metro is not as tourist friendly like the Hong Kong metro. You may download this apps in order to avoid delays because of getting lost and to know what station to alight in order to reach your destination.

During the trip useful apps!
Google Map - Agggh! Map! Though not at all times accurate yet still very useful in navigating places that you want to reach in Taipei. I used this to calculate the eta (estimated time of arrival) of every attractions that we want to go by either walking, cab and mrt. Thanks google map!
Google Translate - This is a very useful during our trip in Taiwan, we are able to transfer from one place to another and are able to communicate with them since they are not good in speaking english. Though they are not fluent in speaking english Taiwanese makes their own way in order for them to communicate with the foreigners. Google translate is very useful in taxis, taxi drivers in Taiwan are not good in english.

What I did before the trip?
- I printed out the documents needed like the klook vouchers, hotel voucher and airline ticket. Since my mom and I are a bit paranoid and all we also prepared our birth certificate, a photocopy of our passport and also a photocopy of two valid id's in order to be sure.
- I did a research on where our hotel is and any nearby attractions near the hotel. I familiarized myself with the hotel that we're staying in. I also looked for a nearby cafes in the hotel since finding cafes with english menus is a bit hard to find and may cause a lot of delays in the trip.
- Listed down all our what to brings and what not's. I always do this in order to avoid left outs.
Taiwan has left a piece in my heart and incase given a chance to travel back again to this country I will definitely, without hesitations. This country has a lot to offer and considering Taiwanese people are very kind and accommodating. You'll never miss your home country because of how kind these people are. Before going anywhere or any country I totally suggest that you study the place your staying in and enjoy your trip. Be with the locals as much as possible. This are only my suggestions and tips from what I've experience on this country and may be your useful guides in order to enjoy your trip in Taiwan! Have a safe flight and enjoy!
