TAIPEI TRIP - DAY THREE

It's our day three and we woke up late since this is our last day and no plans has been decided on where are we going before our departure flight to Manila. Were about to miss this beautiful country of Taiwan but before anything else breakfast first! After our tummies became full and satisfied, we went back our hotel room and freshen up! Still, we got no plans for this day!

My mom freshen up first while I do a research on where a we going next. This is our outside hotel view, i'm gonna miss this view! Finally! We've agreed to visit the Tamsui Old Street to spend our whole day before going back to the Philippines.

We rode the MTR from Taiwan Main Station to Tamsui Station. Riding the MTR gives you a good view of Taiwan and you'll see the transition of the City to Countryside, walked down towards the Tamsuin Old Street via google map. I am so amazed upon seeing the Old Street! Feels like I've been back to the old times.

After walking down the old street and the lake side, we decided to take a rest at the nearest coffee shop and chitchat about our Taiwan tour. The coffee shop we've found is instagrammable! Plus the food! I wonder why Taiwan foods are so good!

After, we went shopping at the nearest mall near tamsui. Shopping malls abroad totally amazed me! Every building and streets you'll see shopping malls anywhere!

We went back to the station to catch up the earliest time before the rush hour.

After dinner, I told my mom that I'll go buy more tints for my last shopping! Thank God! My mom is so generous! After buying we went back to hotel to freshen up to get ready for our flight to Manila! See you in a bit, Manila!

TAIPEI TRIP - DAY TWO

We got so tired and all during our day one in Taiwan, started from a delayed flight and ended up going to hotel late at night so we decided to wake up late.

After eating breakfast and taking a bath, we decided to go to Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall through the mrt. We alight to Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Station, little did I know that we alighted to a wrong station and thought that the Memorial Hall is far away from the station. Considering our time is a so tight we decided to ride taxi that will bring us to Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall.

Upon reaching, my eyes were amazed on how the big the hall is. The Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall finally! But I have problem....on how to climb a very steep stairs considering that my heart has a condition. Thank God! I was able to reach the top of the Hall! But problem is.....my heart went racing!!!!! That my eyes had blurred. I am afraid! Prayed that maybe I've die in a foreign country because of this we decided to go back to hotel and rest. Sadly, we did not enjoy.

Going back to the hotel, we decided to eat in a nearby resto. After eating, we went back to the hotel to prep up and wait for the tour guide to fetch us. At exactly 1 pm, our tour guide fetch us. We are heading to Jiufen and the Northeast Coast of Taiwan! Travel time from the city to Jiufen is one hour.

Our tour includes:

  • Yin yang of the sea
  • Jiufen Village
  • Nanya Rock Formations
  • Pitou Cape
  • Chinkuashih Village
Though our tour has a limited time but my mom and I enjoyed it! I booked this tour through klook.com. Our tour guide is very informative, wished that next time we came back to Taiwan we'll meet him again! I discovered a lot about this country and makes me a lot more interested about their culture.

At exactly 5 pm, we are back at the city again. They dropped us at the hotel entrance and we decided to leave the souvenir items that we bought earlier in the tour. Afterwards, we prepped up and decided to go to a nearby night market but to it didn't meet our expectations so we rode a taxi and went to Ximending Youth Shopping District.

Wished we had the same in the Philippines! Imagine a lot, lot, lot more classy Divisoria Shopping District like this! Haha! I am so imaginative. Because it's our last night in Taiwan we decided to eat at the ever famous Modern Toilet Resto, ambiance is so good! Considering that everything is put in a toilet bowl yet the food is quite usual

After having dinner, shopping time! Let's go spend our spare money for souvenir items! You'll be fascinated at the clothes being sold and every store has a unique item to offer plus the clothes are cheap! After this we went back to the hotel and rest!

That's all for our day two! Thank you for reading! Much love.

TAIPEI TRIP - DAY ONE

Our flight got delayed instead of our estimated departure is 7 in the morning, our estimated departure was change into 10 in the morning. We arrive at the airport 3 in the morning, imagine how long we had been waiting in order to finally board on the plane going to Taiwan. I hate airaisia for this! Since our flight is delayed, our trip and itinerary also got delayed and rumbled down.

We arrived in Taoyuan International Airport at 2pm and at 3:30pm in the hotel. After checking in, we decided to go down and have a light meal in a nearby restaurant in the hotel.

Afterwards, we decided to go to the Taipei Main Station for the Hop on, Hop off bus tour we arrived at 4pm and the only tourist spot that we visited is the Taipei 101 though we are able to see the other sites but were unable to take photo ops since the Hop on, Hop off bus continously moves. I am so amazed upon seeing the Taipei 101, how tall it is! Since my mom is afraid of heights we decided not to purchase the ticket tour in Taipei 101. After taking photo ops, we decided to shop at Zara where I bought my belt-bag.

Little did we know that Hop on, Hop off bus tours are only valid until 5pm. And since we arrived late in Taiwan our tours got delayed and get affected. How I wish that we've arrived on time in Taiwan. Afterwards, the bus went back to Taipei Main Station. From there we decided to have a dinner in a nearby restaurant in the hotel. Luckily, this resto has an english menu! The food that we ordered taste really well and for it's price I consider it as cheap. Wish that I could come back!

After eating, my mom and I decided to shop at Innisfree. Wasn't able to shop makeup in Hong Kong because of limited budget. Yet in Taiwan, we were able to purchase two eyebrow pencils and two lip tints! Thank God for this because this is my favorite korean make-up brand and unfortunately it is not available in my home country.

We went back to the hotel to rest. My mom is tired and unable to walk more. Lastly, this is my hotel room tour:

Well, this is our first in Taiwan! I hope you did enjoy reading! See you on my next post.
